To make a (very) long story short: dalaki was founded by Joerg Schuster in 2007. dalaki provides deep electronic and electro-acoustic music just as deep ambient just as deep dark jazz and deep slow dub. dalaki = (electronica₂ × deep tech ± (glitch ÷ jazz) / (ambient × experimental) ± art) - or something around this formula...
The idea is that a typical dalaki release or edition contains more than just the music. This can be simply everything... The editions will look and feel total different. With every edition we're trying to transport a bit more 'beyond' the music. dalaki releases are available as limited editions only or as mp3's in selected stores and online music shops soon...
Of course we're open to every possible form of co-operation with other labels, artists, musicians and people beyond. If you like our approach and you have an idea of whatever, don't hesitate to contact us...
For demo questions look here
We love deep electronic music and deep acoustics, deep dark jazz, deep slow dub, gloomy melodies. We love atmospheres and sometimes messages. We love static noises & chaos in details. We love detroit tech the same as futurist funk the same as emotional sub-dub. We would love to hear some new music - so don't hesitate to send us yours.
But please take a moment to check if your music style matches our rough describtion before deciding to spend the money on your postage. We accept demos in any possible contemporary method, except dat tape (unless you're going to send a dat player with your demo tape...). Please do not send your files attached to your mail. Upload them and send us the links to your files or send them with file transfer services like yousendit or similar services. Or choose the 'oldschool way' and use our postal adress to send it via snail. Don't forget to post some words and if necessary some explanations about your music your concepts.
And finally: demos (also dat players...) cannot be returned generally. Please accept that we are not capable to give feedback on every demo due to missing time. When we think your music is great and should be released on dalaki we will definitely get in touch with you. Definitely. Thank you very much!

About the white liner (coverphoto dalaki 01)
In fall of 1976 the Shah of Persia made an offer on two great italian liners Michelangelo and Raffaello which weren't in use anymore due to very high costs. In persia the liners were used as permanently moored barrack ships on southern coast. Italian line which owned the liners sold the ships that had originally cost $45 million for the ridiculous price of $2 million. in spring 1977 the Raffaello left on her final journey around the arabian peninsula into the remote port of Bûshehr (Bushire) in south-west Persia. there she was modified to accommodate military personnel and workers.
In 1979 the Shah was overthrown and Persia became the islamese republic of Iran. During the iranese regime the ship was neglected, and she layed idly at her pier in Bûshehr destroyed by water and sun as an empire of rats. Probably she have laid there until she would have been sold for scrap, but in 1983 during the Iraq / Iran war, iraqi bombers hit her badly. She was carried out of the harbour and partially sank in shallow waters. The wreck was further damaged a few years later as a freighter accidentally rammed her at night. The Raffaello lays on the spot where she sank, and no breaking up of the wreck has ever reported.
