lomov

Lomov alias Axel Bergk, himself co-founder of the netlabel stadtgruen from Hamburg, Germany, has a great affair to contemporary arts. He studied History of Art, Philosophy, Archeology and Sinology and was engadged in fine arts in the late 90's with exhibitions in several european countries focussed on conceptual paintings and photography. In 2000 he started create compositions using computers and laptops. He translated his experiences with fine arts to a very bohemian, impulsively and spontaneous approach in producing music. So the core of his most creations are made in situations when he goes by train or something similar.

Influenced by ELP, Brian Eno, Therje Rypdal and Miles Davis, and more lately SND and Jan Jelinek, in most of his tracks you'll find a massive love and addiction to ambient, deep structures, electronica, clicks'n'bugs and big dose of jazz. In his words: ...You may call it Ambient, Minimal or simply Electronica, I call it "something similar to music".
